Im wondering if anyone is using the meross ms605 matter motion sensor. I was looking the handful of reviews on amazon & reddit & its mixed but no real feedback on its usage in smartthings. As I said, its really a very small amount of feedback so im currious on people’s feedback who actually have it setup with smartthings.

Apparently the SmartThings integration is the only one that does not support the multiple zones so it loses part of the appeal.
Ouch, thanks. Im guessing then the aqara fp300 & use the zignee drive. I have an ikea & eve matter motion sensor but wanted some more options to tinker with. Thanks.
I have two of the Meross MS605 and I regret buying them. They are sitting in limbo now. I also have Eve motion sensors that work better.
@jkp i habe an eve & like it but wanted some more whistles & bells. Let me ask you this…do you uae an aqara fp300? I see someone here has created a custom drive to use as zigbee but than so much for matter.

I have a Meross MS605. I mainly use it to turn off the bathroom light when the sensor stops detecting presence. The main drawback of this sensor is that it must first be configured in the MEROSS app. There are no configuration options in SmartThings. Another drawback is that SmartThings are the only ones that don’t support multiple zones.

I had a brief quick test.
I found it a bit sluggish to react for both presence and absence, I could walk the whole way across the room before it detected my presence. Also, main+zone 1 +zone 2 all register together, I cant get zone 1 or 2 on their own. Is”main” a catchall for any zone triggered ?zone3 doesn’t trigger at all.
Do I need to go back to the Meross app and tweak stuff?
Yes, of course?
The zones must be activated and configured first.
And yes, “main” is a catch-all.
The driver is extremely minimalistic, like most Matter sensor drivers are. There isn’t much going on.
The reason why I wrote it was a request from a friend here in Germany. He’s still trying to figure out the configuration in the app:
He said that the state in the Meross app is identical to SmartThings, but the device needs a lot of fine tuning.

At the end it’s just as good or bad as any battery powered mmWave sensor. My Aqara FP300 started to act weird today while it was working quite well for the last week.
I’ve tested this controller and I think it works well. The problem, of course, lies with the MS605 device itself. Its zone detection is still very imprecise. I use it as a general presence sensor.
