SmartThings supports Matter and that’s supposed to work with anything that has the matter logo.* So as long as the end device has the matter logo, it should be officially supported. That’s the whole point of Matter. So just make sure you tell them that it’s a Wi-Fi device with the matter logo and that should be enough to get support.
FAQ: What do I need to add a Matter device to the SmartThings app? Do I need a bridge router device?

I mention because later I unpaired it to try again with Alexa, to no avail, "Not supported yet - we are working on it "
Went back to pair to ST, and had exactly the same problem as you!
No way, tried again and again and in the end left it. Have tried once a week or so up until now without luck until today when, as on the first occasion it paired perfectly.
(I haven’t touched anything - just the same QR pairing each time)

I opened Samsung Case. They said they see something wrong and they said they pushed the fix last night. So I removed device and re-added and to my surprise it’s fixed … I now see the button.
So that is why it worked all of a sudden
