Yes, that is what I said. I was talking about the plain wired contacts he pictured on the first post. If attached to a powered z-wave dry contact, this will probably pass 3 volts though them from the battery. In the case of a regular alarm it’s probably 9 or 12 volts.

My goodness, I can see a mail person seeing that and running a mile, lol. To the untrained eye that looks like something that might tick if you get my drift.

You’re absolutely right, but nothing is visible to the post person through the envelope slot, zero, that’s why I didn’t put it on the back wall, it’s only visible if you have a key to the box, I will shorten the wires one day though!
