Losing signal in metal mail box

I put a motion sensor in my metal mailbox that is 75ft from my hub.
It works great for about two days and then it will constantly drop off the network. I am pretty sure it is a weak signal becuase the mailbox is metal, does anyone have any ideas how I can extend my signal outside the mailbox?

This is a common issue and may be also affected by exactly what is in the mailbox and what the weather is. There are many different ways of approaching it.

I suggest just checking the quick browse lists in the community – created wiki, looking at a project reports, and there is a list there of “mailbox” projects which would end up covering pretty much every possible permutation. It should give you some ideas. :sunglasses:

If it has an antenna I’d drill a small hole in the back of the mail box and pass it through.
