I am not an engineer, but the recent topics regarding the network errors and creating/modifying scenes or automations in the new app are quite obviously shows that there might be a bug with the new Smartthings app or people hitting the limits continuously.
Hi All Using Sylvania LEDs with Philips Hue. Everything was working fine, until today, when trying to edit the scenes I have setup in the Smartthings App, it give me a “Network Error” message and does not allow me to save. Obviously I have tested the network, works fine. I’ve also tried downloading the app to my ipad and it gives me the same errors.
Any ideas?
Been getting this error on and off since setting up my hub but the last 24 hours I’ve not been able to create or edit scenes or automations. Any ideas?
hey, thanks for the reply. I finally managed to get it to pair after about a hour of trying. I used the new app and just kept trying the 4-button press and then it suddenly saw it on about the 20th attempt. Once it paired I can see all the buttons and map automations to them. It gets really flaky if you create an automation then try and edit it with a different action - it just kept throwing a NETWORK ERROR message, but it seems if you totally delete the action and create a new one. Execution after a button press is a tiny bit sluggish, and doesn’t always work the first time, but overall it’s pretty good!
