That’s what I thought, but then your question didn’t make sense. If the room temperature goes below the set minimum then of course the t-stat will call for heat. Why wouldn’t it?
Because you need to make sure your mode is on auto or else the magic doesn’t happen. Don’t know how Ecobee’s Alexa integration is, but with my z-wave t-stats if I am on auto and try to bump up the temperature, Alexa goes berserk…
Oh, yeah…of course. I just assumed that as a given, I guess.
It works fine with Ecobee. It’s just a temporary override of the min/max settings. The only problem is that there isn’t any way to have her disable the override (at least, not that I’ve been able to find.)
