i would be a great addition if lightning groups could be added to routines conditions.

Trying to mirror a lightning group on/off state with a physical switch (without load connected or with smart bulb mode) but can’t see how to do this because of this limitation.

tried to add the switch to the group, but:

  • this limits the interface of the lightning group to just turn on/off, loosing level and color adjustments for a group of rgbw lights.
  • Turning on/off the physical switch doesn’t control the grouped devices without extra routines (I’m specifically looking for a way to avoid using extra routines).

Yes, that’s an odd one. You can use lighting groups as a condition in the Rules API, and also in Smart Lighting, just like you can any other device. It’s not like the presentation doesn’t allow it either. Just for some reason Routines only allow them as actions.

Sadly, Smart Lighting isn’t available in Brazil :disappointed_face:
