Also, when you say it is “activated in Home“ do you mean the Apple home app or something else?

If it’s a Matter device, you have to ask the Apple Home app for a code to share it to smartthings before you can use it in smartthings. This is a one time process.

Hue bulbs connect to both Apple Home and SmartThings via the Hue hub. But it doesn’t happen automatically, you have to add it through the smartthings app.

Add your hue hub to your smartthings account, and it should bring in most of the bulbs that are connected to it.

You have three options for adding a hue hub to your account:

  1. cloud to cloud using linked services in the SmartThings app. This method does not require that you have a Smartthings/Aeotec hub.

  2. locally, using the official ST integration. This method does require a Smartthings/Aeotec hub.

  3. locally, using Matter. This method also requires a Smartthings/Aeotec hub. however, at the time of this writing, using matter, gives you fewer features than using the official nonMatter integration, so if you have a smartthings/Aeotec hub, most people prefer method 2.

To add the hue hub to your account, open, the smartthings app and choose add devices, then add a partner device. Note that it is under “P“ for Phillips.

Then choose the method you want to use. Number one for the cloud to cloud method, and number two for the local method.

Once you have added the Hue hub to your SmartThings account, using any of the methods above, the individual lightbulbs that are available to use in smartthings routines will show up like any other device connected to your smartthings account. :sunglasses:
