kWh in New App - Need More Data/Options

This graph is nice but it’s useless. Currently, there is no way of knowing how long the Kilowatt hours (kWh) meter has been running. The graphs shows 1 month of usage but that does not relate to the total kWh displayed.

In the Classic App, it told you how many days the meter has been running:

As you can see, the meter has been running for 67 Day and 17 Hours.

It cost me $.12 every kWh so total cost prior to meter reset (we will get to that as well) is:

53.2 kWh x $.12 = $6.38

But even knowing this is not that helpful unless you know how long the meter has been running. It’s been running for basically 68 Day so:

If we take 6.38 / 68 Days = .09 average cost per day.

Again, without knowing how long the meter has been running, the chart and displayed kWh (Energy Used), is useless! :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Request:

  1. If you are going to give us the running month’s data via a chart, then give us the kWh used during that period.

  2. Display how long the meter has been running. (Yes two readouts. Overall since reset and current period)

  3. Give us an option to reset the freaking meter!!!:man_facepalming:t5:

Thanks.

Actually the meter reset is not a standard capability and it’s device specific, so is the display about how long the meter has been running. You would need to contact the DTH developer to add support for resetting meters and more custom controls. Here are examples of resetting the meter with the new ST app:

[RELEASE] Official Monoprice Plugin Power Monitor Device Handler

[RELEASE] Enhanced Neo Mini Plug / Dome On Off Plugin Switch(DMOF1) / ZooZ MiniPlug (ZEN07) Device Handler with Energy Monitoring and Timers

Having said that ST could definitely show how long it’s been running until the last time it reported 0, it’s something they can build in to the graph plugin.
