Jasco Swiches with failed LEDs (Guidelights)

I just got done replacing all my switches which had failed LEDs. These all work except for the fact the Guidelight will not come on (regardless of using settings from the app or manual switch presses). I’m sensing a pattern in the date codes.

What Edge driver is assigned to them?

Default, Phil’s (Now CS), a couple of others over the years, none help. The LEDs used to work, they just slowly failed over the years. One of them I could get to flicker when I tap on it, so maybe just bad soldering. I plan to take them apart and investigate at the same time I replace the capacitors in a few other ones that completely failed.

It’s a common issue not related to a driver.

@DavinD ive had the same issue with these, especially Jasco’s zigbee switches. Ive replaced all of mine with Inovelli’s Blue switches and i couldn’t be more happy.

Currently I’m stuck right in the middle of a sump cost fallacy situation. Do I buy a few or throw them all out? There are a lot of these in my house (Zwave, Zigbee, Fan Controllers).

I bit the bullet and replaced them all, even if the LED was working or not.

I saw these the other day and thought they are great.

I don’t have any of those, but i may someday soon! I have the regular Blue 2 in 1’s and fan switches.

Other than the Jasco/GE/Enbrighten and Leviton, what vendors currently sell a decent Z-Wave Fan Controller? (One that adjusts speed, not just one of those dual switches for a fan/light combo.)

At the moment, I have three of the older, original Jasco/GE Z-Wave controllers and one Jasco/GE Z-Wave+ devices–all of which have been in service a long time–in daily service to keep the air “stirred” three times/day with ceiling fans in our Florida condo while we’re away. I’ve found over time that without the fans, air tends not only to stratify temperature-wise, but also humidity-wise. (It’s a good idea to keep air moving and humidity below 60% down there in the summer to prevent mold growth.)

It looks like the Inovelli Fan Controller is only available in Zigbee (Blue series) and not Z-Wave (Red series). Is that correnct, @johnconstantelo?

I believe so. I’d have to check their forums to see if a zwave version is planned, but I don’t think so.
