Is Philips Hue the neglected one and TCP the favored one

Behavior is completely unreliable. Many issues (almost daily) with ST and Hue. Cant trust that my lights turn off and always needing to double check and shut down using Hue app instead of ST. In addition, once I integrated Logitech home control…ST and Hue went haywire resulting in me uninstalling Hue from ST on multiple occassions whereby now I have just given up. Please Please put some focus in this area and revive my faith in ST.

@smart, while you do the reboot, please don’t change the names and let me know if the refresh works better.

Sure. Will start afresh as soon as I am home back from work.

@juano2310, any idea why after I add a new bulb to hue ST will not detect and add that new bulb? I would prefer not to remove/add from/to ST twice in one week.

@juano2310 now it won’t connect to the hub at all…

i keep getting this in the log:

This has to be a joke… right?

@jody.albritton how did you add the hue back to ST? My hub is not being recognized any more. Darn!

@juano2310 I have opened a support ticket too… can somebody take a look?

More info… What is this not a hue… Unverified hub… Blah… Blah…

I uninstalled all of the smart apps.
Uninstalled the Hue(connect) app.
Rebooted my hub and closed my phone app.
Made sure I had the names the way I wanted them on the hue app.
Re-installed the hue(connect) app.
Did the discovery.
Found the bridge and did the button verification.
It found the bulbs and added them as normal.

How did you reinstall the hue connect app? I did all all the previous steps but it is totally failing…

It seams like the device wasn’t erased completely “debug Device was already found in state…” I don’t have access to user accounts, I just work over code. Sorry about that!

@juano2310 @tyler @duncan @april so who can help me here… The ticket is open and how come the device was not erased correctly? And above all how can it be erased correctly? Will really appreciate some help here.

Nice! I removed the harmony hub and I can’t add it back! I removed the hue hub and I can’t add it back! The lights are most important for me coz every light in my house is hue or a lux… And now I am totally completely hosed! Hmmm!

@smart, from across my seat, they just pulled up your support ticket. Stay tune.

I think I am so going to fall in luv with you!!! Oops! I mean it you being a ST representative!

Wow, what do I need to do to get such a quick response on my ticket? I usually have to wait days for a response and only after sending an email asking for an update. @smart, what is your secret?

With any luck @juano2310 will be able to look into this soon.

Just being as passionate as they are…

@hscox030, i didn’t trigger it, nor did I escalate it- it was pure coincidence that they were just pulling it up! Haha.
