I purchased my Hue lights & hub yesterday and have a bit of time playing with them. I now want to integrate them with ST (assuming the servers can stay up long enough) but need to know if I have to install the Hue (Connect) app from the IDE? Or, are the apps in More - SmartThings Labs the same thing?
I did this just yesterday - I hit the add button and picked Philips Hue Light Bulb under the Light Bulb category. It took me through the pairing process and at the end had automatically installed the Hue Connect Lab app for me. So I guess you need it, but you don’t have to do anything special.
