Hi, sorry for bringing up an old thread – are there any updates on this topic? Can you share the codes from your attempts? I’m mainly interested in turning cleaning on and off via SmartThings, nothing more. I want to create a routine so that it cleans after I leave, and that’s it. I don’t want to connect to external applications like IFTTT, Alexa, etc. I have Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Mop P.
Hubitat or Home Assistant are your options.
i have Bobsweep Bio and wanna do same thing, i guess i will try to use Home Assistant and then i will reply here and will say how good was my attempt
upd: added a link so people will know which vacuum i have, im not a trash spambot if link looks sus, mod please delete it. ty in advance
Some newer robots have matter support. Do we know anyone who has tested matter supported robot vacuums with smartthings?
i dont know anyone whos done this here, ill try this after next work week probably, if all will be good i guess i will make a thread
Hey everyone, just jumping in to share some updates from my side.
I’ve created a Roborock Matter plugin, and it works well with Samsung SmartThings.
It’s based on the matterbridge project, so if you’re looking to integrate your vacuum with SmartThings without relying on IFTTT, Alexa, etc., this might be a good option.
Right now, I’m working on adding room cleaning support.
If anyone’s interested in testing or collaborating, feel free to reach out!
I’m interested in testing this @veonua but please guide me with all the process
Hi, sorry for the late response
It should be as easy as install the GitHub - Luligu/matterbridge: Matterbridge plugin manager for Matter
npm install -g matterbridge --omit=dev
and in the interface, search for
matterbridge-miio-roborock
After installation, I recommend restarting Matterbridge. Then, you can enter your device token in the settings and restart again.
After you have the basic functions working, you can set up the room names in the settings.
Please let me know if I’m missing something or if you have any questions
