Questioning why the Android App now requires location to be enabled. Hopefully Samsung can explain in detail why this is now has become mandatory for users. My integration with the new app worked fine not having to enable this. Now the App requires location to be enabled and when not the app cannot be used at all. it says “limited functionality” but actually it won’t go the main screen and jumps back to the settings. Bottom line, would not like to force consumers to enable location services to control the devices on my platform. Believe Samsung and many other smart home platforms are overdoing this. if Samsung cares about privacy, please do not make location services mandatory for this platform even with limited functionality. Any app making location services mandatory should be kicked out from app stores.
