Im6001-v3p15 questions on buying one used

I am in the process of picking up a Im6001-v3p15. It has been removed and factory reset. Will I have any issues onboarding it to my system?

Hi, @mndb369
If it “wasn’t claimed by March 2, 2025”, it might experience an issue with the certificate to connect to the platform, but blocking the NTP port should help.
Only those who were unable to follow those steps experienced problems.
Here’s the thread about that:

Thanks for the reply - can you explain “wasn’t claimed……”

It is my understanding that the unit was used as a smartthings hub right up until August 2025 and was recently removed and hard reset.

Ah, then it should have received the update.
Sorry if I wasn’t clear, I was quoting the main Troubleshooting post. But, it basically means that, if the hub was already connected to the platform by that date, then, there shouldn’t be a problem with the certificate.

If you do experience that problem, you might consider contacting Aeotec. In my case a support engineer offered to update the firmware for me. I had to mail it in and they actually paid for return postage. I was impressed by their service!
