Hi
I have just tested the IKEA Tradfri white bulb with steering dimmer ( dimmer kit) with both the V2 and V3 hubs.
Both hub versions acted the same, the problem was getting the IKEA bulb to pair. First time out of box took about an hour but then I learnt that for me it worked by doing this.
Firstly add the IKEA DH in the IDE found on this site ( search IKEA Tradfri DH there are tow good ones that work by Jonas Laursen and K Andrews. Then remove or don’t fit battery to steering device yet.
Reset the bulb by switching power off and on six times , the timing on this is tricky hence why it took ages. Once you master that ST finds it as a Thing. Go with that and then in the IDE change the DH to Zigbee White Color Temperature Bulb.
Then add another device with the battery back in the steering device and accepted it found as IKEA dimmer, change the DH in the IDE to one of the DH’s you previous added ( I tried both to get the best result for me)
Then finally pair the steering device to the bulb… this was a nightmare if not the first time out of the box even if you factory reset it… Seems to have a mind of its own.
Once paired it works very well and can be dimmed by both ST and the steering device.
Used the Smart Lighting app to automate and it worked very well with the ability to override with the steering device which is what I was originally trying to achieve.
I think there are much more reliable and easy products to use and setup but at £13 for this kit its a very cheap zigbee bulb
