iHome iSP5 Plug not showing in ST app

‘Add a thing’ didn’t automatically find this plug, so I tried manual. Chose the exact device (found under outlets), connected my iHome account (which is operating normally and controlling the outlet with the iHome app), and ST app shows me the screen that says that devices will be added automatically from my iHome account. Yet I don’t see the device in ST App-> My Home-> Things. Any ideas why, or what to try? Thx

First, try unplugging it from the wall outlet and plugging it back in.

If that does not work, Remove the device from your iHome app, reset the device to factory settings, re-add it to your iHome app. Then check to see if it shows up in ST.

For what it is worth, you will see lots of “unavailable” when it comes to the iSP5 series. I finally gave up on that model and switched over to another brand.
