Hue not Setup as Matter Bridge

I could not find my specific scenario so hopefully this is new.

I bought a new Hue Pro bridge and reset up all of my devices. I am using the LAN connection and not Wifi, but when I set it up it it doesn’t show “Matter” in the bridge name. With my V2 hub I did have that.

Is there a way for me to tell if this is actually a matter bridge now or if not, how I can add it?

To add the Hue Bridge Pro using Matter:

  • open the hue app
  • go to Settings in the Menu
  • select Smart Home
  • click on the + in the upper right of the screen
  • do no select SmartThings from that screen as it will direct you to the SmartThings app to add it as a LAN connect device
  • instead, select Other Apps
  • select Get Pairing code
  • now go to the ST app and add it as a Matter device and once added, you will see the Matter logo when you open the Hue Bridge Pro
