Great news - battery performance has been a point of pain with me for these devices. Fingers crossed.

As well as only one of my two hubs updating, the one that did update was the one with my Aqara buttons on it and the app no longer wants to work with any of them though they otherwise work fine. May just be a coincidence of course.
Update: Had to wipe data from my app to restore sanity. Not believed to be firmware related in the slightest.
I had to reset some of my stuff. Bit annoying but I expected it having gone through updates before
