I’ve changed to Phil’s (Z-wave Lock PH) drivers. It changed all the names to slot 1,2,3 etc. I’m trying to query the lock to see which codes are in it so I can rename them. I renamed a few by using a couple that I remember and seeing which code it said was used. I thought I might find it in the attributes, but no:
{“1”:“Code 1”,“2”:“Code 2”,“3”:“Madison”,“4”:“Code 4”,“5”:“Mackenzie”,“6”:“Code 6”,“7”:“Code 7”,“8”:“Code 8”}
Is there any way to see what codes are loaded in this lock?
Whether you can see the actual codes already in the lock is dependent on whether your lock supports S2 security and your lock is paired properly with it. When the driver requests the codes from the lock, locks supporting S2 send the codes and can then be decoded by the driver and displayed in the mobile app (for drivers that provide that feature). If the lock is not properly paired or doesn’t support S2, then the codes are obfuscated since they would be unencrypted and possibly sniffed.
There is nowhere in the Advanced Web App where the actual lock codes would be displayed. Only the codeSlot numbers and any codeNames associated with a slot.
