How to exclude GE / Jasco switch with "click of death"

Hi all,

I have a GE / Jasco paddle switch which experienced the “click of death”. Jasco was so kind as to replace it for me.

However, I want to exclude the old switch from my network before including the new one. But while it’s clicking, I can’t figure out how to exclude it. I’ve tried pulling the air gap a few times with no change.

Any ideas?

You shouldn’t need to exclude it if you simply want it out of ST. You can force delete it using the ST Advanced Web App.

I agree with Bruce. I’d just delete it, but here is the section for exclusion.

Will this create a ghost device in the z-wave mesh?

Not been my experience. I believe that the device’s network address entry gets deleted from the hub. You can also run a Z-Wave Repair to verify things are good.
