I’m trying to connect my Honeywell thermostat (T6) but I’m getting a connection error the last couple of days
What can I do? Anyone else having this issue?
My Honeywell VisionPro 8000 WiFi thermostats connect to SmartThings via Honeywell Total Connect Comfort. It’s working at the current time.
My Honeywell thermostat, connected via TCC is hit or miss. The integration from Honeywell is less than solid. I’d say it has an uptime of about 80%. When down, it may be down for a couple of days. My suggestion is to just keep trying.
Mines been up and running for roughly 7 years. It periodically goes down when they do maintenance, that will take it offline for two or three days. Other than that it’s been pretty reliable.
Don’t know if it’s just my thermostats but without “help” it only updates every 12 hours. I’m currently using a Sharptools loop to issue a Refresh command every 30 minutes.
I should mention, though, that I do not trust SmartThings to control my thermostats. They are all set to with old school on-device schedules.
I do the Sharptools thing too due to lack of refresh.
