Help with Smartthings connection to Sharptools.io

Since Actiontiles went dark a few days ago, I’ve decided to recreate my dashboards using Sharptools.io.

When I try to connect Smartthings to Sharptools, using the Sharptools web connector, I get this error:

That email doesn’t work anymore. I’ve tried everything in the Sharptools support documents with no luck. I’ve confirmed that Sharptools service wasn’t already linked to my Smartthings account. I’ve also tried to connect them on two different browsers with the same result. I’m posting here to see if anyone can help.

So you did:

Click on your icon, top right./View account

Under authorized locations/manage connections?

You see SmartThings without a green ok sign on the right?

You login maybe not correct at SmartThings?

Test via smartthings Advanced?

Sorry. Just my ten cents. I think you are not a newbee, but I am so enthousiast about Sharptools… also refugee from Actiontiles.

Apropos. A few years ago SmartThings gave me problems. support@smartthings.co.uk

Helped me instantaneous… while no reactions on “normal” support

They helped me perfectly. and my problem was really complicated. But I am in the Netherlands.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I get the same error message when I click the link or try to enter my.smartthings.com in a web browser. I can still access my account on my iPhone, but it doesn’t seem to have the same options. It’s starting to point to a Smartthings issue with my account.

what is the default browser?

https://my.smartthings.com should re-direct to a page in https://account.samsung.com . When you click on “Manage Connections” in Sharptools and then click on “Samsung Smartthings”, are you being taken to my.smartthings.com or account.samsung.com ?

If you’re not, try going to https://account.samsung.com and click on the “Sign In” button. See if you can sign into your account via that method.

I’d also try an incognito browser if you encounter further issues. And do it on a desktop/laptop computer, not a phone.

I prefer Chrome, but I’ve also tried Edge. I tried two separate laptops with the same result.

Thank you very much @Bry! The Incognito Chrome browser did the trick.

I’ll share this in case someone else runs into the same problem in a normal browser window:

https://my.smartthings.com opened up the same error message as clicking on Smartthings in the Sharptools →Manage Connections→ Samsung Smartthings
