I just received my SmartThings hub and set everything up, it paired with my lights and the door sensors just fine. The motion sensor that came with the kit has no led or anything when I try to pair it. I switched the battery with a working door sensor to see if it’s a battery issue but it still didn’t get linked to the hub or show any LEDs.
Is the motion sensor broken?
I’m having the exact same issue. Tempted to crack the sensor open, but I have no idea what to look for. Anyone have any ideas?
Save yourself the aggravation and throw it away now. Aeon or Zooz sensors are much better, giving far fewer false positives. Batteries last longer too, but they also have the option of being powered by a usb connection.
