Trying to have ST pair a new IKEA GRILLPLATS plug but the ios app can not get pass the icloud registration.
Added that same plug to Apple Home and that works like a charm, but of course ST fails. Also tried adding it first to Home, set it in pairing mode, and get it to pair in a hope it would be able to see the icloud registration for that device and bypass the problem. That also did not work. As normal, ST fails at the most basic things.
I have seen some posts about using an Android phone, but i dont own one.
Can ST not add matter over wifi devices via the ios app?
No problems found here, I have 4, bought at different times and all paired with ST and Apple Home using iPhone. Great thing is that they show in the ST Energy monitor
Have you been able to add any Matter over Thread to your ST hub previously? Which model ST hub or built-in hub do you have? What do you use for Apple Home - Apple TV or other" Both of those doesn’t really matter since you have Apple as your primary hub, i was just curious. Are both system on the same subnet of your network. is wifi set to 2.4 ghz only or 2.4/5 ?
