The older ones had an issue with the capacitor, and someone wrote up a post about how to replace it, but it involves opening the switch and soldering

I’ve bought several new jasco’s recently through, and haven’t had any of these issues with newer models. I’ve had them honor the extended warrenty as well with the older switches. I would call them about the warrenty

I had two more of mine fail with the sticker of 1705. I called and I just have to send a picture of the front and back to get them replaced at no cost. I suggest others do the same first before going down the path of opening them up and fixing them yourself.
