GE Smart Dimmer model 12729 installation

Hi,

New member and first post so be kind if possible :grinning:

I’ve installed a few of the GE dimmers model 12729 w/o issue.

This one in particular is odd. When ever I screw in the bottom face plate holder screw about 2/3 in, the light goes off and I hear a shorting sound. The top screw face plate holder displays no issues.

The light itself works fine and I was able to connect it to my SmartThings app.

Would any one have some insight or wisdom concerning this?

Known issue. You need to use short screws.
