GE Jasco 14291 Paddle Stopped Responding to Physical Press

I have a house full of Z-wave switches and one of my GE Jasco 14291 paddle switches stopped responding to the manual press on the paddle. The light can still be fully controlled through the Smartthings app, but can no longer be controlled manually with the switch. This is NOT the click of death issue.

I seem to recall being able to enable or disable the paddle with a certain number of paddle presses or a parameter change but can’t remember. Does anyone happen to know what this is or has anyone experienced this issue before?

The only config parameters I see for that device are the Alternate Exclusion and the LED Indicator.

Also, nothing in the manual. https://products.z-wavealliance.org/ProductManual/File?folder=&filename=MarketCertificationFiles/3317/46201%20Binder.pdf

A long time ago when I had these switches I had something similar happen, but I don’t recall anything like button presses or a parameter. What I would have to do was trip the breaker.

Or pull the air gap if the switch has one.

Thanks for the responses. I did try the circuit breaker trick and the air gap. I’m very familiar with the air gap as that’s been the fix for this issue many times over the years but neither worked this time around.

I would recommend calling Jasco technical support. They offer a 5 year warranty on their switches so you may want to look at the date code to see if it is within 5 years or look for your purchase receipt.
