Has anyone got the Lowe’s/Iris version (GD00Z-1) to actually work? I’ve tried with two different ones, thinking that one was faulty and still cannot get the status to show anything other than “Unknown.” I’ve done this about half a dozen different ways based on other posts in the forums, all to no avail. The latest process I’ve tried is:
- Install battery in tilt sensor and place on door.
- Plug in main unit.
- Press button 5 times to reset.
- Hold down button 7 seconds to reconnect to tilt sensor.
- Operator door manually (light on main unit flashes once and beeps, presumably to indicate that it connected to the tilt sensor).
- Pair to Smartthings hub (works fine - finds the Z-Wave Garage Door Opener in about 30 seconds)
- Replace default Device Type with this one: https://github.com/gouldner/SmartThingsPublic/blob/master/devicetypes/gouldner/rg-linear-gd00z-garage-door-opener.src/rg-linear-gd00z-garage-door-opener.groovy (also have tried the default, same problem)
- Open/close door manually with wall switch half a dozen times.
- Restart hub.
- Repeat 8.
I doubt that Lowe’s sent me two bad units, so I think I must be doing something wrong. Any thoughts? Thanks!
