Does anyone know if there’s every been a solution to the app constantly warning about low batteries on devices that have weeks of battery life left? I’m so tired of being pestered so frequently and sometimes woken up in the middle of the night for devices that are just fine. I know it’s been a problem for years (Disable Battery Notifications) but still can’t find any way to exclude this from Notifications. Am I just missing something? Thanks!
I’m sure that’s very frustrating.
What’s the brand and model of the devices?
and are you by any chance using rechargeable batteries in them?
The chief offenders seem to be two older (first gen I’m assuming) Samsung sensors. One motion sensor (F-IRM-US-2 I think) and a multipurpose sensor (F-MLT-US-2 I think) being used as a tilt sensor. I get warnings from other devices, but don’t seem to have a persistent issue with those, I’m assuming because it’s not telling me until the battery life actually is low.
I’m not using rechargeable batteries, and use Panasonic batteries in original packaging on the multipurpose sensor. The motion sensor uses pricey 2477 batteries, so I’ll admit to not using name brand batteries. But it doesn’t give me false alerts in that location, so I’d hate to get rid of that one!
I was hoping there was some way to disable low battery notifications, change the warning percent or voltage or just stop it from warning me in the middle of the night without suppressing actual alarms.
The Notifications settings allow you to turn off notifications from particular devices, and that also used to include low battery warnings. Indeed there wasn’t a lot else it did include except for things like leak sensors. I don’t know if that still works because I haven’t seen a battery warning for years. I seem to have the opposite problem where the battery percentage reads way too high.
