Yes, I wish there was an applet to change the Nest mode to HOME or AWAY, rather than setting a specific temperature (which is the applet I’m using).

Anything can be done with virtual switches and IFTTT.

Make a smart app that has a switch kick off the behavior you want. Have IFTTT trigger the switch based on Fingbox

for the use case you mentioned you can just use a routine. Then pick “automatically perform” and choose when something turns on or off. Then choose the virtual switch you made.

Awesome, Thanks Greg! I just built a new applet in IFTTT in under 2 mins. Never thought it was that ez. Now I just need to build a virtual switch to be able to select the ST mode.
