Can I connect a smarttag with Google Assistant? They say I need to link SmartThings to assistant with add device.
I did that and authorized access to my Samsung account, but I still don’t see my smarttag in assistant. So what else do I need to do? I’d like to say Where is my dog.
Dog is the name of one of my smarttags, But I can’t find it in devices. Where is my dog triggers a Google search, which is not what I want - I m looking for a location.
I’m afraid the location of a SmartTag is only available to the ‘owner’, or with permission the other members of a SmartThings Location, in map form or via navigation to the location when looking for it.
The raw location information is not made available, and it certainly isn’t allowed to leave Samsung’s control.
You can’t even ask Google Assistant where another Google user is, even if you can see their location in Google maps.
Don’t know about Google, but SmartTag location info can be shared with Alexa through the ST Alexa skill.
