Fibaro Smart Implant

As I mentioned in my note in your other thread, the pH sensor that you linked to is a “dip Sensor“ not a “continuous Sensor.“

Got 2 problems, with smartthings universe - #2 by JDRoberts

It is not intended to be continually immersed. Only to be used for a quick dip and then to get the reading.

For example, the probe that you linked to has this instruction in the operating manual:

  • The sensor MUST NOT be dipped in the detecting liquid for a long time.

You didn’t give the specifics of your use case, but you did mention swimming pools in the other thread, and that particular sensor should not be left in a swimming pool as there is a very real danger of galvanic corrosion, which would cause a fire.

You also may not get accurate readings if you try to use a dip sensor as a continuous sensor.

So you just want to make sure that you are getting the right kind of sensor for the type of automation you were setting up. Otherwise it won’t matter what DTH you use, you won’t get the results that you want.
