# Feature request: Biometric/PIN confirmation before unlocking door locks in the SmartThings app

Samsung Wallet’s Digital Home Key asks for biometric verification before unlocking, but the SmartThings app unlocks door locks with a single tap. An accidental touch on the device card, favorites, or a widget can open the front door.

Please add an optional setting to require fingerprint/face/PIN confirmation before any unlock command from the app (similar to how Google Assistant requires a PIN for voice unlock).

My setup: Aqara U200 (Matter) on a SmartThings v3 hub, Galaxy S24+.
