Get a multimeter. They are cheap and will let you know which wires are hot.
If the neutral is there I could use the original device I had posted (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G7OD3ME/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_CX--xbCQMQAM85) at the fixture when installing the fan. This would give me control over fan and light separately. I use cree bulbs for now so the other light fixture is no issue. I won’t be doing this myself but I didn’t want to order the parts only to send it back.
Thanks for all the help thus far!
I don’t understand how if your lights are wired as 3 way or even 2 way configuration how the switches can only have 2 wires. I tried to draw it out and figure it out. Just can’t wrap my head around it.
I suggest getting a non contact voltage tester or meter and trying to draw out / label what wires do what. Maybe if you provide a good drawing and pictures someone can figure it out.
I’m not very good explaining things
. The switches have 3 wires connected
to them, 2 were red and one was yellow (I think). I should have specified 2
colors. I apologize!
So possibly your wired something like this. Color’s don’t always match when dealing with wiring.

The yellow is probably faded white. Maybe with this drawing and a some voltage checks you could verify it enough to be sure what your doing is possible.
This might be little better drawings. Look at option 6 or 7 maybe.
