Event Log review

Hello,

While looking at my event logs, i see 99.9% pings, and the occasional non-ping. When I view the non-pings, they are completely meaningless to a non-programmer.

2 questions

  1. is there any way to filter the logs to drop all the pings?
  2. How does one interpret the real entries?
