Hi I am having this issue with my v3 error code 33-504. I just bought it on ebay and have factory reset it several times. The serial number is 3011506072. My router does not support blocking port UDP 123. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi, @wtmolinejr
In this case, we suggest you check with a family member/friends router.
Also, check if following these steps allows you to check if your hub can generate the file.

  1. Insert Fat32-formatted USB drive to the USB slot on the back of the hub.
  2. Press and release the reset hole on the back of the hub.
  3. Hub LED will blink magenta while copying logs.
  4. After the Hub LED returns to normal from magenta blinking, extract the USB drive and connect it to a PC.
  5. File name will be “logdump_xxxx.tgz.enc”

These logs would help us confirm the issue is the expired certificate. If that is the case, the steps to block the port are still needed.
If it can still not be installed, you’ll have to return the item.

thanks for the response. I just sent the logs to build@smartthings.com.I did also try blocking ntp.org using parental controls but I still get the 33-503 error. I will contact my ISP to get my router switched to theirs from my deco mesh system so I can block the port to try that.

ok, thank you for sending the hub logs, we’ll review it to confirm the issue is due to the certificate expiration and let you know.

I was able to get it connected with the port blocked. thanks! hopefully I do not have any other issues but I am grateful for your assistance with this!
