Yes, the new driver supports reporting it for Yale locks but it depends on the zwave module in your lock on what it reports to the hub. AFAIK all Yale modules report the keypad operation for user codes used for unlocking and locking (when One touch locking is disabled). Happy new year!
Just purchased and tested and it works as expected! Thanks and happy New Year to you as well!

Universal Enhanced Z-Wave Plus Lock Driver - v20250121
- (Fix) Added an workaround option for FE599/BE369 locks where they continually go online/offline after a recent SmartThings hub firmware update. This is caused by a defective lock firmware which causes the hub to drop some packets coming from the lock. You can enable the workaround fix from the
settings
menu on the lock page.
Please make sure that your lock is within 20ft of a buffering device/repeater for best performance and reliability.
NOTES
- This version of the enhanced driver is only available via the new platform Drivers license (refer to website for details). If you have an active subscription, the new driver will be automatically pushed to your hub within 24 hours
- Refer to the previous release notes for more driver details. New features are not available in the Legacy Migration drivers.
- See the first post for a full list of available features by lock/model
- The latest SmartThings iOS mobile app now cuts off the text after the second line so not all user codes are visible. See the FAQ page for details on how to view the programmed codes

Hi @RBoy
I have the Universal Enhanced Z-Wave Plus Lock Driver installed in my locks. I have several Yale locks (mostly YRD-216) and some Ultraloq locks. All of them were working perfect with your driver, but yesterday night all my Yale locks stopped reporting any action (lock, unlock, etc). I couldn’t view them on “Advanced users” section of my.smartthings.com.
Today, I tried to delete and create access codes from the Smartthings UI “Adanced users” and it didn’t work at all. I couldn’t even unlock my locks from the SmartThings app. All the locks were “online”, but for my Yale locks, commands were not working. Oddly enough, commands worked for my ultraloq locks, but not for my Yale locks.
I came here to see any news about it and found that yesterday the driver was updated. Maybe that update broke something with my Yale locks.
Just to clarify, I have several locks in different locations (different smart hubs) and they all had the same issues.
Maybe is something you can reproduce on your side? Thank you
I just checked and it’s working fine with Yale locks here. Sound like your lock, lock module or batteries may be having an issue. Try rebooting your hub if multiple devices are affected.
The update has no effect on any locks other than FE599/BE369
I have the same locks and same issue. Did you get this resolved and if so how?
I had to switch to the standard zwave driver (SmartThings driver, the default one). It started working as soon as I switched.
I plan to go back today enhanced driver from Rboy To see if it’s solved now But haven’t had a time to check that
The one called Zwave Switch?
No, Z-Wave Lock
Nevermind, I found it. Thanks for the quick response! I have guests checking in today and did not have a code for them yet!
Rich
Great to know! I know how that feels. The same happened to me the day I posted
Is it possible to view what code is assigned to which slot from within the app?
Yes, see New SmartThings Platform - FAQ's for details on how to see the names and codes from the browser app.

I have two hubs on firmware version 000.052.00021, so apparently they are not auto-updating. However, I cannot find a way through the web interface to update them manually. How does one do so?
52.21 is the latest firmware for the ST Connect and Wi-Fi hubs. There is nothing to update them to. What hubs do you have?
