Hi Jon,
Si en Alicante no hace frio
I live inland Alicante too, and I know how cold it can be.
If your fan heater uses the 38 Khz IR frequency you could use this IR blaster. I hope the driver is useful to you.
Thank you,
Javi.
I live in Onil and when I came here ten years ago I had never been so cold in my life. Going to the toilet in the winter or showering is now a planned mission where I have to get up to turn the heater on and then get back into bed. Hopefully with your software I can use the bathroom temperature sensors to start the heater at a time before I get up in the mornings. Thank you again.
Hello!
I’m a complete amateur in this subject but I enjoy home automation. I’m still stuck, I can’t even add the device to the ST, let alone read FP
It simply doesn’t recognize it.
I installed Javi’s super driver on the Aeotec HUB via the channel, I even rebooted it.
I bought this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005763594856.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.5e321802HsYXsx
The hub and the app are searching, the Moes is flashing blue, but nothing…
Any ideas?
Thank you very much
BR

Follow the instructions per the manual. Also, the hub should be in Scan Nearby mode and the ST hub Led should be flash in green. Give it some time and try few times it will be detected eventually.
Hi Istyu,
Have you checked your device’s fingerprint is in the first post? Please, retrieve it using Mariano’s zigbee thing ont this channel and then post it.
Thank you,
Javi
Hello!
Sorry for only getting back to you now, but I’ve been busy.
In the meantime, I managed to get the device recognized with the AEOTEC HUB. (I already suspected it, since all forums indicated that it works with a WIRED HUB. I understood that you had to connect the hub to the switch with a cable, but now it’s wireless.) I even installed the Javier driver on the hub. At the moment, it seems to be working, but at the same time it also says to me that “The device has not yet updated all its statuses. Check back later”. I’ve already read about this.
I checked the data of the device with the recommended driver, I am posting this now, I hope it is sufficient.
Please tell me what to do next!
I’m grateful in advance!
Istyu
Hello Dotan,
Thank you very much, I got through this
Istyu
Hi Istyu,
Your device’s manufacturer is the same as mine. Now, you just need to install my driver on your Smartthings hub (Aeotec). Please note that the wired hub is only required for Tuya systems.
If you’ve already installed my driver, go to the device menu and select the driver. Your device will be recognized as an IR blaster.
Thank you,
Javi.
Hi Javier,
Thank you very much for the quick reply. I have already installed the driver, selected it, the user interface has also changed to the remote controller layout, but it still says “The device has not updated all its statuses yet. Please check back later”. (Sorry for the Hungarian subtitle, I am Hungarian.) That’s all I got. Obviously I can wait forever, that won’t be the solution.
What should I do now?
Many thanks.
Istyu
Hi Istyu,
Try reseting the device as shown by dotan_shai. Then, search for new devices in the Smartthings app. As the driver is already installed, your device will be added again.
Thank you,
Javi.
Hi Javier,
Thank you very much for the idea. I don’t understand why I didn’t try the simplest solution. It was enough to simply remove the device and search for it again and add it.
I have only tried it with a TV remote control so far, but it learns nicely and connects with the remote controller interface of the application. This will be very good, and I am eternally grateful to you!.
Thanks again!
Istyu
Excellent work!!!
I would like to know if it is possible to use the interface for air conditioning?
Hi Patrick,
I think it is really difficult because AC remotes send all of the status parameters at once. For example, when you press the power button the remote is actually sending: Power On, cool mode, current temperature 27ºC, desired temperature 21ºC. Maybe you can learn some presets using the numeric buttons and use them as you need.
In my case, my Airzone AC works almost like this. Now I’m learnig about its IR protocol, I’ve figured out how it works, and the next step is to build my own zigbee thermostat with an ESP32-C6 microcontroller.
I hope the driver is useful to you.
Thanks,
Javi.
Thank you very much for developing these Drivers, it meant a lot to me, I bought it imagining that because it was Zigbee it would connect to my SmartThings Station HUB, but what I saw was something completely complicated, so thank you very much for your work.

Hi bayou,
Could you please tell me if your device uses batteries or is powered by USB?
Thanks you,
Javi
