(EDGE Driver-Mc): Zigbee Switch Mc, Zigbee Switch Power Mc, Zigbee Multi Switch and Child Mc

May be a device problem

Could you (or somebody) recommend a zigbee socket with physical on/off button and power metering works with smartthings (and the price about $10)?

Thanks!

My 2-gang multi switch works with the driver very well. After adding the device, the created main device had 2 switches (main + Switch2) and also another 1 switch to turn on/off both. However I don’t seem to be able to create a separate single 2nd individual child switch device. I selected the option β€œcreate single device” but nothing happened.
Is there something I need to do to create the 2nd switch?

Hi @kidzen77

Are you see inthe devices without room assigned, the last room?

Ok, I managed to create the 2nd device. I have to turn on switch 2 first then go to settings to use the create single device option. It then appears. Strange but not a big problem.

Hi @Mariano_Colmenarejo
I am using this driver for a Greenwave single node socket that reports power useage, the power useage does not change unless i pull down to refresh

This is an issue as i need to run an automation based on power draw

Is this a platform issue or can something be done with the driver ?

@Mariano_Colmenarejo
Could you add these two devices to driver

Hi @fido
If the device is properly configured, it should send the power and energy reports when the configuration conditions are met, for example, the default reportable change is 1 w

What fingerprints of the model are we talking about?

Could you please add the Lidl Outdoor Plug device to the driver?

Hi @Mariano_Colmenarejo
Ledvance Compact plug works with this driver very well.
Ledvance Outdoor plug is in other location and I couldn’t test it now.

Energy Meter is a nice added feature.

Many thanks again!

Bit unusual to supply the details needed for the driver in the link below Mariano but hopefully this page will supply required info
Oddly i thought you had already included the device but looking closer the device shows cloud in the ide so i csnt get the device info from there

I am using your driver for sure so maybe another zwave device has a similar fingerprint

Here is a link to the Zwave alliance details page for the device

https://products.z-wavealliance.org/products/629

Hi @fido

This device is Zwave, since this thread is zigbee I thought it was zigbee device.

I added it as generic without configuration parameters and I told you that with the Z-Wave Device Config Mc driver you could scan the values of all the device parameters and you could configure them according to the manual.

I should not have lost the configuration I had with the DTH

The driver works with the default handlers of the zwave edge libraries, if it doesn’t work and I have to make a custom subdriver, I think I won’t be able to do it.
Maybe @philh30 and @csstup can add it to their zwave driver and see if it works

It does work Mariano, on off and reports power, just fails to reflect changes in power draw unless pull down refresh is used

Your work is always appreciated though so thank you for your thoughts

Are you use IOs app? in Android does not work the refresh pull down

Android Mariano, pull down refresh works and changes the devices power draw shown on the devices page

It is a shame we lost the polster smart app, i could poll the device myself

@fido I think this is a DTH that supported the device in question?

By default it should send energy reports with any 2% change in power, if I’m reading it right. The DTH also makes mention of different firmware versions supporting different features.

Without having the device to test with I’m not sure how practical it is to write a driver to support it.

Many thanks and appreciate your swift response, works perfectly.

That is the DTH i was using, it is still in my IDE but no longer used

I have a vague memory about fw differences which were minor changes in the devices settings but tbh it was a long time ago

Guessing you are in the US corey ?
