Thanks the plugin version of smart lighting works!
I have the original cube with the model number posted on the original post which is MFKZQ01LM. Honestly Iām pretty new I to this never used the IDE although I knew it existed. Anyways TLDR I clicked on the link to enroll where it said āchannel invitation linkā I signed in. Then I accepted the terms. I looked for the aqara cube drivers enrolled in it. Then checked the smart things app once I located my hub in the devices section I clicked on it, then I clicked the 3 dots on the top right, on the drop down I clicked on driverās made sure that the aqara cube drivers where there. They should be there assuming you signed in to the same smart things account on the app and the account you used to enroll to get the driverās from the original post. Assuming you see that the driver is installed correctly then all you need to do is follow the steps kunjila provided. It took me a while but eventually got it down not exactly sure how, but I followed his steps as closely as I could and eventually got it, the timing is key, fiddle around with pairing until you get the 3 rapid blinks the keep tapping the button till you get it down and itāll automatically connect to the hub. It is vital that you see the driver listed in your hub though so Iād check that along with the model number I could be wrong but the model number should be the same for all original cubes as for the T1 PRO it is my understanding there is no drivers for it yet which is why I opted for the original cube Iām not a developer so Iām not sure if they will make drivers for it in the future. Anyways hope this helps you if not you can keep posting here as the developer @veonua is here as well. He should have more insight then any of us.
Hi Guys, is this driver working with T1 Pro ?
Thanks for taking the time to respond so concisely, have got an older Cube too, have managed to pair both ok, the older version was working and I had set it up just to do a few things. Had set the T1 Pro up and even though I have now deleted from ST if I rotate it, it turns stuff offā¦ not sure why.
Not 100% sure, but I donāt think so.
Hi. Iām trying to pair my Cube to smartthings hub using veonaās driver. Somehow Iām not able to do it. I tried to follow your steps here but I could only do as follows
Using smartthings app (ios)
- Top on +
- Top on Add Device
- Tap Scan
- Press the Link button on the cube for 5 seconds. It will have 2 slow blinks.
- Then after about 10 seconds, it will blink 1 time
Canāt seem to detect my cube.
@desk20
The cube is really a pain to pair. I gave up the other day after over 15 minutes of trying.
Then I decided to try again another day and after about 10 minutes I finally got it. I donāt know how, but it worked eventually. I suggest you use a new battery to begin with.
I recall seeing someone posting about how he found a way to pair it easily. The post is burried somewhere in this forum
For me, pairing it is an easy task ā¦ but eventually it goes offline ā¦ and again, and again ā¦ both of them, and button as well ā¦ such a major PITA!
I finally managed to pair my cube. But I too donāt know how I did it. Iām guessing it worked because of the steps I listed above. But during the scanning part, Iāll repeat step 4 and 5 about 2 to 3 times.
I had no issues with pairing. it does seem that in the morning, it is difficult to get it to recognized the motions at first. It generally takes 3 moves. I am not sure if I have done something wrong.
Typically I try going from Back to front and I need to make this move 2-3 times.
Thanks
Chris
Hi All,
It would really help if those that got it working can confirm which model of the cube they got working. I have the newer T1 Pro cube and it doesnāt look like the Veon drivers work with it. Anyone had anu luck with it or any other edge drivers?
Thanks
I have managed to pair my 2 aqara devices using the drivers from @veonua successfully (contact, MQTT discovery).
I have also enrolled the drivers for Xiaomi/Aqara Switch & Button v1.12 and Aqara Cube. But in both cases, I cannot use the devices
The model for my button is WXKG20LM
Cube model is MFKZQ01LM
Can you kindly advise me on how to get my devices to work ?
I have added/deleted n added multiple times.
Thanks !
The button should not be available at all, as there is no fingerprint for this device.
As for a cube please send me the log in PM.
Sorry to ask u a noob question. How do I get u the log ?
i donāt have the docs on my hand now , you can try to search the forum on how to get logs via cli tool
Guys, you wonāt believe it. I wouldnāt have believed it either if I hadnāt seen it with my own eyes. After connecting the T1 Pro (AR020GLW01) using this driver and its QR code (the third time I managed it), it appeared in the system as a āZigbee switchā with an on/off option.
After shaking it in my hand, my whole house went mad: all 64 devices connected to the hub switched on and off several times, including the camera, air purifier and sirens. What a nightmare! On top of that, I donāt know how, the Xiaomi 2Sās fan made a noise to announce its presence and then disconnected from the wifi.
And the best part is that after I kicked it out of the system, it continued to work, because when I shook it, the whole show repeated itself. Throwing the driver out was the only thing that helped.
After one such attempt, I have had enough. I am returning it to Amazon.
PS: Oh, I forgot: to make matters worse, the alarm armed itself even though Iām at home.
I doubt it was the cubeās fault. It sounds like the cube was paired with a stock switch driver instead of the community driver developed for the Aqara Cube.
The cube sends messages directly to the Zigbee network, enabling fast and hubless operation. Therefore, neither the hub nor the driver are relevant in this case.
Many Aqara devices without proper configuration broadcast messages to the Zigbee Group 0, which consists of all available Zigbee devices.
Since the cube is not ST Certified, there is no initialization code available to change the default behavior and move it to the proper group. I would recommend using this model with the Aqara Hub, as it can handle the device.
Good Evening, @nayelyz @veonua I have the Aqara Cube T1 PRO, I am also experiencing the same problem he mentioned. When I give the cube a shake the whole house goes crazy, everything turns on, and I shake again everything turns off. Could you please contact and inform the support and developers to solve these problems with the Smartthings platform, regarding this device and others that cause these inconveniences. this is a very annoying problem. Iāve tried pairing again a few times and the problem persists. Please resolve these issues. I already have the AQARA CUBE T1 PRO
already 6 months. I would appreciate if you have an answer explaining why this happens and how this problem will be solved.
Hi, @RafaelAntonio2022, I havenāt found evidence that this device is supported by a SmartThings driver, can you confirm if this is a recent device or if you used a DTH to control it before, please?
