mine also went offline today
did you restart your network? That helped but they appear to eventually go offline.
turned on Logcat but not really sure how to use it. I am doing research now
The main harmony hub stays connected? Do the activities still actually work?
I think I got it working. As you had mentioned the driver needs a very stable network. My eero router was plugged into a 2.5 g switch and then that switch was connectedto a different 1 g switch then the ST hub. I connected directly to the 2.5 switch and now it appears to be working flawlessly.
The HBS always shows connected, it was only the activities that would show offline after some time.
Hopefully this got it.
Million thanks my friend
the main hub stays connected , but the activities show offline, after a soft reboot they come right back, however 2 days later same thing – Im using harmony bridge simple v2-1 is this maybe an old driver?
V2 is the latest driver
Do they work when they are in this state?
When you say Marcos what do you mean? Activities?
Activities don’t have there own connection… It is the hub device that does all communication. Which is why this seems really weird to me. ( It’s impossible for 1 to be connected and the other not). So I suspect this is something that has changed in the way st treats devices like this. The driver has not changed in a long time.
The word was macros, which is another term for activity. The devices do not work when the activities say they’re off-line and I’ve been using your driver for many years and it’s been flawless. This only started a couple days ago. If I reboot the Smartthings hub, they come back online if I reboot the Harmony hub they don’t.
Can you please look at logcat to see if there are any errors or warnings that could indicate what is going on?
Just been following along, but decided to look at my ST app. I only have 1 active Harmony, although the account has 2 and the other is offline.
I am seeing the same symptoms in the ST app. “Harmony Bridge Simple V2 - 1” is Online. All of the Activity tiles are Offline. I rarely use these, so it does not cause me any issues. Control from Alexa still works fine, but that is Alexa direct to Harmony.
How do I do that? I’ve never had to do that before. Could you hopefully walk me through that?
Just as another point of reference to help with the trouble shooting. My HB, Activity tiles, and devices are all online. I use them regularly and am having no issues.
One of my hubs says it’s connected but it’s Activates say offline. Any ideas how to fix this?
My other Hubs and their activities are all still online and working fine.
I’ve tried turning the Hub on/off
Setting Get Config and Activity Devices Enabled on/off
Those things didn’t make any difference.
What is strange is when I look in the Events list it seem detect me turning the devices on/off using the Harmony remote.
Update 1:
Rebooting the SmartThings hub seems to have fixed the issue. We’ll see how long it lasts.
Update 2:
All Hubs online, but all activities offline!
The next day the activities where all offline again. I had to reboot the SmartThings hub again.
Update 3:
I assigned a reserved IP for the ST Hub after a reboot. Let’s see how long the Activities remain online this way.
Any ideas what is happening here?
Something must have changed on the smartthings side. I am experiencing the same issues as others here where the bridge simple v2 parent device stays online but all the child devices go off-line and it takes about 12 hours or so before they go off-line. I’ve tried completely uninstalling all of the devices, then uninstalling the bridge simple v2 parent device and then completely unenrolling and deleting the driver, then rebooting the SmartThings hub and then reinstalling everything and the issue persists and stays consistent so I think unfortunately there needs to be an update to the Edge driver here to accommodate whatever changed on the smartthings side.
I do not and have not had any of these problems so it does not appear to be a universal issue.
Are you able to look in logcat for errors or warnings when in this state… ?
Thanks for the information here… This suggests to me this is false status detected by st, rather than a network issue. I’ll need to look at the code to see whether I can force the status. I’m not going to be able to look at coffee until the end of the week. If you can get logcat it will help massively as I can’t replicate this at home

Ok, got it all installed and figured out. Not hard. I can monitor the driver. Ironically just as I was about do it, it was all offline again. I will reboot the router, let it reconnect, and watch the driver in the app. I’ll report back.
Ok, this is me turning on/off my “Watch TV LR” activity.
I will also let the monitor “run” and see if it captures the moment it goes offline.
The log is going to pick up household usage but hopefully the moment it goes offline too.
