How do I properly power off my ADT Smartthings hub so that when I pull the power plug the dumb thing doesn’t continue to beep at me until the battery runs dead?

Throw it in the trash and put it outside. You should not be able to hear it out there.

Unplug the battery from the main board in the back. Make sure to also factory-reset it before sending it back for the supposed refund (mine has arrived at the factory in TX a week ago but its arrival has yet to be confirmed…)
