Dual Purpose a cameras motion detection to turn on lights

Hello - I have a camera in a room which also has some lights (TCP Connected).

Both the camera (D-Link) and the lights are within ST.

Rather than waste a new ST Motion Sensor in that room - is there a clever way to turn on the lights in the room based on motion detected by the camera?
I would only do this after a certain time of day (which should be the easy bit) - but I am racking my brains and need some advice as to whether this is actually possible…

Depends on the model of the camera, if your D-Link has an I/O port then you could wire in a z-wave open/close sensor and get status that way (you would need to use one of the sensors that have the wire terminals inside).
