I have already submitted my brand application in the Developer Workplace, but it’s still pending. When I tried to submit the brand application in the Developer Console, it tells me that my brand has already been applied for. I would like to know how to delete the brand application in the Workplace and what the difference is between submitting the brand in the Developer Workplace and the Developer Console.
Hi, @cheer. Welcome to the SmartThings Community!
Sorry about this, can you let us know the organization’s MNID to look for the request, please?
We can reject it and once that’s done, you can delete it from the Developer Workspace
Thank you for your response, but I still have some further questions.
My understanding is that after a development project in the workspace is approved, the formal certification process can proceed in the console.
All operations in the console must wait until the development project in the workspace has passed the review before we can begin any operations in the console, correct?
I would greatly appreciate it if you could also help clarify my confusion. Thank you very much!
No, to certify your Schema Connector you need to use the SmartThings Cosole, in the Developer Workspace you only need to create the Schema Connector to be able to select it in the Console but the certification submission is on the Console now.
So, here’s what needs to be done:
- You have your organization in the Developer Workspace. If you have a published/certified connector we need to migrate your organization to the Console.
- If your organization is new and just submitted a brand request. You need to delete the brand to be able to use the same name in the Console. If you don’t need the same name, you can omit this step.
- If you create an organization in the Console, it should be in the same account you use for the Developer Workspace so your Cloud-Connector project can appear for the product registration
Note: If you don’t see the connector, you need to associate your connector correctly as mentioned here: Publish Your Cloud Connected Devices | Developer Documentation | SmartThings
