Do Custom Monitoring Rules Run Local or in Cloud? How about Routines?

Hello,

Are the custom monitoring rules setup in SHM processed locally or in the cloud?

I do not think I see any listed in the localintalledsmartapps list.

Do routines setup in the routines tab run locally or in the cloud?

The only thing that is sure to run locally is the “Smart Lighting” app. Almost everything else runs in the cloud. I do recall hearing that some portions of Smart Home Monitor may run locally, but I have never seen a definitive answer on what parts those may be.

Smart Lighting caveat - If your Device Handler is running in the cloud, then any associated Smart Apps will also run in the cloud.
