DIY local LAN/WiFi Sensi Thermostat Access

Sorry to cross post but I cannot believe that nobody looked into this problem (in particlar the DIY Raspberry Pi homeautomatization folks):
Is there a way to directly (LAN, house WiFi) access Sensi Thermostats and not go using the phone app (the official Senis app or tools, such as iprak/sensi or asdfkalsdfla / sensi_thermostat_websocket) and the cloud service?
Btw, this thermostat has port 80 open. But when accessing it, I only get:
“File / not_found”. It sends out 330 bytes and receives 150 bytes every 4 minutes. But I don’t know the destination and what it sends out.
Thus I am asking for any positive or negative response. And in the case that I am barking at the wrong tree please point me to the right direction
Thanks

Do you use the SmartThings platform?

Not yet, maybe I should. But I’d guess this is not what I want because I presume SmartThings is just another cloud-based system.

This forum was started a number of years ago so that people using the Samsung SmartThings ™ Home Automation platform could help other customers with ideas and troubleshooting. So all of the questions and answers are assumed to be in that context.

Consequently, it does sound like you’re posting in the wrong forum.

Why don’t you try the Reddit Home Automation subforum. It covers all brands and protocols.

From Reddit, "Sensi Thermostat WITHOUT SmartThings

So, I have a couple of Emmerson Sensi Thermostats. I’m wondering if anyone knows how to integrate them into HomeAssistant without the usage of SmartThings.

EDIT: Turns out that Emerson thermostats are homekit compatible, so I was able to add them as HomeKit devices"
