I’m slowly converting my lighting to smart lighting, and was going to replace the dimmer for our dinning room Chandelier but when I opened it up I found there was no neutral. I assume it’s in the fixture and will check. My current thinking is to use an in wall relay at the fixture with the current digital dimmer. Will this allow me to still control the light at the switch, including the dim settings. I’m less concerned about controlling the light levels through the smart devices but having both would be a plus.

You can’t use a digital Dimmer faceplate with any in-wall micro.
You would need to use a momentary (retractive / push to make) switch with a micro such as the Fibaro Dimmer 2… and then you can dim up and down by holding the switch in.
