I have a new washing machine and its set up through the smart things app. I can see the washer in the app and I can see the washer in the devices list in the Alexa app. However, when I try and create an Alexa routine, the washer is not listed in the devices that will trigger a routine. I am looking for the washer under the smart home devices but not finding it anywhere. Can anyone assist or tell me what I’m missing. FYI- I am trying to get Alexa to play the end of cycle song when the wash cycle is done.
Alexa is limited to triggering on sensors, such as motion and presence, door locks, and some cameras. Ring cameras and doorbells have better integrations for obvious reasons.
