Device not reporting in for a set amount of time

Another feature that would be useful (at least for me) would a second configurable duration of time where if no events are posted from any device, they system is presumed to be offline and a “system down” message can be sent out. I understand that through the app the hub already does this, but I’m looking for a way to accomplish that notification with SMS outside of having to look at the app. If there is an alternative way to determine the hub is offline (through the Hub Inactive event that is reported) I would be all for it:

Monitoring if Hub is Offline

After reading through dozens of threads I’m a little worried that this may not exist… I have one goal: If my hub is offline, notify me somehow outside of needing to be on the iOS app ideally by firing a momentary switch and get an IFTTT email. The hub does have an “inactive” event that fires but on a separate thread it seemed that was not accessible by custom smart apps. Thank you everyone and if I missed a plainly easy solution to this one, my bad.

Also, events that SmartThings sensors report that are not a change in value from the previous report (the temp is the same as the last temp event) are not picked up by this app and the device appears inactive. More info about those events here:

Hello, what is the difference between the events shown below that are grayed out vs. the events that have white background? The white background events show up under “Displayed” and the grays only when clicking “All” or “From Device.” I have an inactivity app that is only seeing the white events and not the grayed out events, making a device seem idle. Any help much appreciated, thank you. [image]
